People behind it

Founded in 2019, our Berlin-based collective Food for Thought develops computer games about LGTBQ+, gender, identity and sexuality. As women, trans people, queers, migrants and mothers of teenagers, we see diversity not as ornamental, but as a core part of our identities. Consequently, we incorporate not only our professional know-how in our specialist areas, but also our personal experiences and different perspectives into every experience we create.

Founded in 2005, Mad About Pandas is an award-winning German independent video game developer based in Berlin. The studio focuses on producing narrative games such as the mystery adventure title “Hitchhiker”, while also working on commissioned projects for clients such as Goethe Institute, Bundesagentur für Arbeit, and Disney. For many years, the studio was focused mostly on the production of games based on mobile devices, such as “The Great Jitters: Pudding Panic”, “Forever Forest” and “Laika”. The production of “Hitchhiker”, however, marked a turning point towards a focus on high-quality narrative games that contain a signature atmosphere of playfulness and surrealism. The game’s positive reception validated the new approach and paved the way for further productions in this vein.
